Who Are We?

"The Dirty Apron"- Who in the world would call themselves "The Dirty Apron"? That would be me. Seems at this time in my life I am so busy pursuing my passions (food, music, adventure travel), I hardly have time to throw in a load of laundry! Mother of four, step-mom to two and happily married to a super-supportive man. I have recently stepped away from the full-time work world to....well, BREATHE. I worked for years in restaurant food sales and as the Lifestyle Expert for our local ABC affiliate doing on-camera food, gardening and entertaining segments. A Certified Master Gardener, culinary school-trained entrepreneur, I have appeared on HGTV and in the Enquirer for my art work and cooking. I currently teach cooking and adult art classes on a free-lance basis. I also founded and run an acoustic music society. Me? busy? YES! But I am enjoying EVERY MINUTE of my life!

"My Other Husband"- I'm an out and proud gay man in an 11 year committed relationship. I tend to fall in and out of the stereotype. I love sports, building things with my own hands and working on my car but I also love cooking, baking, decorating, gardening and all things that involve my home. I live in the city but grew up in the country so I tend to live a very urban lifestyle while never forgetting my rural roots. A former retail business owner, I'm now an event coordinator and bartender by profession. Autumn is my favorite time of year (the weather, foods, colors and clothing options are the BEST!) and the holidays bring out my inner Martha Stewart. The best times in life are those spent with close friends over good drinks and great food! Just imagine the looks on the faces of your friends when you tell them you got that great recipe, decorating or gardening tip from "my other husband"!

"The Stylist"-  I work for an Italian company specializing in high-end women's clothing and I have modeled in New York City and Dallas, so I can dress your body, your table, your home or your garden! I've also done some nude modeling for every art school in the city that has used nude models. I am one of five kids who all like to cook. I enjoy doing special dinners and at Christmas I do food and baking as gifts to friends and family. I love my home and garden, where I grow a lot of my own herbs. I live alone with the three loves of my life, my sweet kitties. I now have a fourth love and he's really top drawer (He walks on two legs). When I eat at home, I "dine" at home. I love my china (I have 10 sets), my silver and my crystal. Why have it if you never use it? By the way, there is nothing wrong with loving the finer things in life. I'm so excited to be part of this interesting blog.
